Acceptance

By using Quitar Fondo you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service or upload images.

Description of the service

Quitar Fondo offers an online tool that attempts to automatically remove the background from an image and, for signed-in users, can optionally generate a new background scene. The result depends on the input image and description and may contain errors, imperfect edges, unexpected elements, or parts removed by mistake.

The first version is offered as a product in development. We may modify, limit, suspend, or withdraw features to maintain security, control costs, or improve the service.

Your images and rights

You retain whatever rights you hold over the images you upload. You grant us a limited, temporary authorization to transmit and process them solely to produce the requested result.

You may only upload content you have the right to use. Do not upload images that infringe copyrights, privacy, likeness, trademarks, or other third-party rights.

Permitted use

You must not:

• Use the service for illegal, deceptive, or harmful activities.
• Upload malware, content designed to attack the service, or files that are not supported images.
• Circumvent technical limits, automate abusive requests, or generate disproportionate cost.
• Attempt to access systems, data, or accounts without authorization.
• Present the service, its brand, or its interface as if they were your own.

Prohibited image content

You must not upload, process, or otherwise use the service with images containing adult, sexual, NSFW, pornographic, sexually explicit, sexually suggestive, exploitative, or non-consensual intimate content. Any sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualizes or exploits minors, is strictly prohibited.

This restriction applies whether the image is real or synthetic and whether the intended use is public, private, commercial, artistic, or fictional. See our Acceptable use policy for the complete rules.

Third-party processing

For background removal, we send the image to Replicate and the 851-labs/background-remover model. AI background generation (Bria) is temporarily disabled; no new generation requests are accepted. Using these features implies these technical transfers. See our Privacy policy for processing and temporary retention conditions.

Credits, payments, and subscriptions

Prices are displayed in US dollars. Applicable taxes may be added during checkout. You may choose an available merchant-of-record checkout operated by Creem or Waffo Pancake. The selected provider processes charges, taxes, receipts, and payment details. Quitar Fondo does not receive or store your full card details.

Each processing job deducts the number of credits shown before it starts. Credit packs are one-time purchases and expire 365 days after payment. Monthly plans issue credits per billing period, and those credits expire at the end of the corresponding monthly period.

One completed standard background removal costs 1 credit, and one completed AI background costs 8 credits. If the provider fails, or our server detects that the request was cancelled before it creates the result response, we automatically restore the reserved credits. Credits are not restored after the server successfully creates the result response, even if a later network or browser problem prevents you from using it.

Annual plans are paid in advance, but credits are released in monthly installments. Unused installment credits expire at the end of the paid year. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, expired credits are not restored or converted to cash.

You may cancel a subscription to prevent its next renewal. An ordinary cancellation keeps the already-paid period available until its end date. A refund, dispute, or chargeback may freeze unused credits and stop future credit releases associated with that payment.

To request a refund, email info@quitarfondo.org. We will review the request with the payment provider you selected based on credit usage, time elapsed, and any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country.

Availability and warranties

The service is provided on an as-available basis. We do not guarantee that it will work without interruption, that it will be compatible with all images, or that the result will be suitable for a specific professional, legal, or commercial purpose. You should review the generated file before using it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect damages, data loss, loss of profits, or claims arising from the content you upload, the generated result, or the unavailability of the service.

Suspension

We may block or limit requests when we detect abuse, security risk, breach of these terms, or automated use that affects other users.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date of the current version appears at the top of the page. Continued use after an update implies acceptance of the new terms where permitted by law.
